Police are appealing for information after a total of 20 incidents of theft from vehicles have been reported in Brickhill and Putnoe since the beginning of November.
Five incidents were reported on the morning of Wednesday, 10 December alone.
Bedfordshire Police say that investigations are continuing, including proactive overnight operations with officers targeting the areas in the early hours of the morning.
Inspector Vicky Stoughton said: “We know how distressing these sorts of break-ins can be and are working to bring the culprit or culprits to justice.
“We would encourage anyone with information or who has been affected to report it so we can continue to build a picture of the offending.”

To prevent your vehicle from being a target for thieves, police advice is as follows:
- Keep all doors locked and windows closed
- Don’t leave valuables or anything that can be easily sold on in your car
- Where possible, park in well-lit and busier areas
