A unique cafe in Sharnbrook near Bedford is recruiting, but the successful candidate needs a bit more than just standard barista skills.
Ready Steady Roll, just off the A6 in Sharnbrook, is a cafe with a difference, serving up delicious food and drinks to customers while they play one of the hundreds of board games on offer.
Owner, Darrell Cannon, is on the lookout for a new Games Guru to join their team and share the teams’ passion for everything from Dobble to Dixit.
“The role of Games Guru does require a good knowledge of board games,” said Darrell. “But you don’t need to know the rules of all our games as we’ll train you up.
“Ready Steady Roll is a great place to work – we get to spend the day sharing a love of board games to families and friends and seeing them having fun, spending quality time together.
“We get such a huge range of people in, that every day feels different and fun, plus we get to play games at every opportunity, never mind the free drinks and cake and the 20% off games staff discount.
“It’s by far the most fun job I’ve ever had.”
The successful applicant must be over 18 and able to work one or two weekends a month, as well as some shifts during the week (during school holidays only). The salary is £10/hour.
