Firefighter takes on charity run for organisations that helped him back to fitness

A serving firefighter from Kempston Fire Station is staging a unique charity fundraiser in aid of the two organisations that helped him following surgery

Jack Goodwin, 31, is raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity and Bedford Hospital Charity after undergoing robot-assisted surgery. He will take on a solo 5K race while racing a relay team of 12 runners from multiple Bedfordshire fire service teams.
